Which product to choose for sealing flange connections?
When choosing a product, you should pay attention to the following factors:
- working temperature
- size of the gap between the flanges
- type of sealed material (metal - anaerobic products and silicones or plastic - only silicones)
- whether the seal should be stiff (anaerobic products) or flexible (silicones)
Surface preparation
Old sealant residues should be removed with Loctite 7200. Then degrease the surface with Loctite 7063. If the product is applied at temperatures below 5 ° C, use Loctite 7649.
