Loctite 454 transparent cyanoacrylate gel instant adhesive, non-drip, universal, for vertical and overhead surfaces, for metal, plastics, elastomers and porous materials, for quick repairs
Description
Properties
Loctite 454 adhesive is a gel-like product that connects hard-to-glue surfaces, and the joint it creates transfers stresses equally.
Benefits of using
- a universal product that quickly combines a wide range of materials
- additionally combines porous materials - paper, fabric leather and wood
- very high viscosity - possibility of vertical and overhead applications
- with primer possible bonding of low-energy materials
Application
Instant bonding of plastics, metals, rubbers and porous materials in applications requiring a dense, non-flowing product.

Instructions for use
- In order to achieve the best results of operation, it is necessary to clean and de-paint all surfaces with Loctite 7063 remover. Accurate degreasing is crucial for proper gluing of elements.
- In the case of gluing low-energy plastics, use Loctite Primer before applying the adhesive and wait for it to dry.
- If it is necessary to use an activator, apply it on one of the surfaces
- Apply the adhesive oo one of the surfaces (do not apply oo the surface on which the activator is applied).
- Press the glued elements and hold until the glue hardens
- Product should be allowed to develop full strength before subjecting to any service loads (typically 24 to 72 hours after assembly, depending on bond gap, materials and ambient conditions.
Storage
Store in dry and cool rooms. Recommended storage temperature is from +2ºC up to 8°C. Heat the product to ambient temperature before use. Its optimal conditions of application are 22 °C and 50 % relative humidity. Storage at a temperature outside the recommended range may irreversibly change the properties of the product.
