Description
Properties
LOCTITE Frekote 44-NC is a colorless polymer separator that is mainly used for:
- polyester gelcoat molds
- metal molds
- RTM and vacuum technology
- composite products reinforced with glass, aramid and carbon fibers
The product is perfect for use on matte and structured surfaces. It is possible to shorten the hardening time by heating the mold for 15 minutes at a temperature of 100 to 150 °C.

Application
LOCTITE Frekote 44-NC is mainly used in situations where separation without transfer is important. The product is perfect for separating epoxies, polyester resins, thermoplastics, adhesives and rotationally molded plastics.

Instructions for use
- before applying the product, clean the surface of dust and previous layers of release agents
- the product should be applied with a brush, not a fluffy cloth or by spraying. When spraying, a source of dry air should be provided and the distance of the nozzle from the surface should be maintained at 20 to 30 cm
- 3 to 6 layers of the product should be applied to the surface at 15-minute intervals
- after applying the last layer, wait 3 hours for it to fully harden. This time can be shortened by baking the form for 15 minutes at a temperature of 100 to 150 °C.
Storage
The product should be stored in accordance with currently applicable safety rules. Frekote 44-NC should be stored in a tightly closed container in a dry and cool place. The optimal storage temperature for the product is from 8 to 21 °C. Too low or too high a temperature may negatively affect the properties of the product.
