Properties

LOCTITE Frekote 55-NC is a faster evaporating, less odor version of Frekote 44-NC. Frekote 55-NC is a non-transfer separator with a fast curing time. The product chemically bonds to the mold surface and forms an extremely thin film that is stable at temperatures exceeding most molding processes.

Application

LOCTITE Frekote 55-NC is a semi-permanent release agent designed for repeated separation without transfer. It works perfectly on the surface of matte structural forms. It is also perfect for working with epoxies, polyester resins, as well as adhesives and rotationally molded plastics. It ensures multiple separations of advanced composites without transfer of contaminants and without the formation of deposits on the mold.

Instructions for use

- the mold surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned of dust, dirt and previously used anti-adhesive agents
- the product should be rubbed with a clean, non-pilling cotton cloth, applied with a brush or by spraying (at a distance of 20 - 25 cm between the surface and the nozzle )
- in this way, apply from 3 to 6 layers, waiting 5 minutes between each of them
- after applying the last layer, wait 30 minutes for it to completely harden. This time can be shortened by heating the mold at a temperature of 100 to 150 °C for 5 minutes.

Storage

Frekote 55-NC contains flammable ingredients and should therefore be stored in accordance with current safety regulations. The product should not be stored near oxidants or flammable materials. Frekote 55-NC should be stored in a dry, cool place in a tightly closed container. The shelf life of the product is 1 year from the date of its production.
