TESA 4964, 390 µm double-sided cloth tape, white, 50 m × 19 mm, for floor coverings, fabric splicing and laminating linings.
Description
TESA 4964 is a double-sided cloth tape with a thickness of 390 µm, white, in size 50 m × 19 mm. The natural-rubber adhesive provides very good initial tack and conforms to irregular surfaces, and in many cases allows clean removal from dimensionally stable substrates. A trial application is recommended before use on plasticised substrates (e.g. PVC).
Benefits and unique features
- High adhesive mass – secure bonding even on uneven substrates
- Very good initial tack for fast installation
- In many cases, clean removability from stable surfaces
- Short-term temperature resistance up to 110 °C
- Flexible, tear-resistant cloth carrier
- Good resistance to plasticisers
- 50% bio-based carbon content (product without liner)
- Economical 50 m roll – convenient for linear applications
Properties and applications
- Splicing fabric webs: durable splicing and quick repairs in technical textiles.
- Fixing floor coverings: clean and strong fixing during flooring installation.
- Laminating linings and heel pads: applications in footwear and leather goods.
- Irregular substrates: thick adhesive layer compensates for surface roughness.

Storage recommendations
Store in a clean, dry place, away from UV radiation and heat sources, in the original packaging. Before installation, ensure the substrate is clean and degreased; on plasticised substrates (PVC), perform an adhesion test.
FAQ
1) Can the tape be removed without residue?
In many cases yes — from dimensionally stable surfaces the tape can be removed without leaving adhesive residue.
2) Will it work on irregular surfaces?
Yes, the high adhesive mass helps fill surface irregularities.
3) What is the temperature resistance?
Short-term resistance up to 110 °C.
4) Is it suitable for PVC/plasticised materials?
A test is recommended before use on plasticised substrates.
5) What applications is it recommended for?
Splicing fabric webs, fixing floor coverings, and laminating linings and heel pads.
