Oto brakujący opis dla kategorii Smar miedziany w wersji angielskiej, przygotowany w tym samym standardzie co poprzednie. 21. Copper Grease (Anti-Seize) Long Description:
Copper grease is a specialized high-temperature anti-seize compound containing fine copper particles and corrosion inhibitors. Upon application, it forms a durable protective layer on metal surfaces that prevents metal-to-metal contact, reducing friction and facilitating disassembly even after long-term operation under extreme heat and heavy loads.
What is copper grease and how does it work?
Copper grease (often called copper anti-seize) serves two main purposes: creating a separating lubricating layer and improving thermal conductivity. After application:
- copper particles fill micro-irregularities, preventing cold welding and seizing,
- friction between threaded elements is reduced, ensuring proper torque tension,
- heat generated in braking systems or exhausts is effectively dissipated,
- corrosion inhibitors protect surfaces against rust, oxidation, and chemicals.
Key Properties
- Thermal resistance: stable operation from -30°C up to +1100°C.
- Anti-Seize protection: prevents galling and seizing of threaded connections.
- High load capacity: protects threads under high pressure.
- Corrosion resistance: effectively seals against moisture and salt.
- Electrical conductivity: aids in maintaining ground connections (e.g., battery terminals).
Applications
- Automotive: exhaust manifold studs, wheel nuts, spark plug threads, and brake pad backs (to prevent squealing).
- Industrial: screws, nuts, and bolts exposed to high temperatures in furnaces or boilers.
- Assembly: press-fits and heavy-duty pivot points.
Forms and Application
- Copper Paste: precise application for threads and bolts (tubes or tins).
- Copper Spray: fast application for larger surfaces and hard-to-reach areas.
