Loctite protective coatings reduce the wear of a given element by protecting it from abrasion, chemicals, cavitation, erosion and corrosion. They are suitable for use in difficult conditions. They can be used to protect:
- pumps
- air ducts
- heat exchangers
- centrifuges
- impellers
- fan blades
- propellers
- pipes
- tanks, etc.
Loctite protective coatings contain a ceramic filler, which is very durable and resistant to abrasion. Their use extends the life of machines and devices.
Coatings for protection against corrosion and chemicals are characterized by excellent adhesion and chemical resistance. They create a durable protective coating that protects against aggressive chemicals.
Advantages of Loctite protective coatings
- cheaper compared to traditional methods such as: welding or spraying
- easy to apply, especially on large surfaces
- protect against corrosion and wear
- do not require temperature during application - they do not create unfavorable thermal stresses in the material
- effectively rebuild and regenerate surfaces with even a very high degree of wear,
- can be applied both manually, e.g. with a spatula, and (depending on the variant) using guns,
- create highly abrasion-resistant coatings, which may reduce their effectiveness in the long term,
- effectively protect coated surfaces against gouging, i.e. deep destruction of their external surface,
- and many others.
Thanks to this, manual and sprayed protective coatings should be considered a must-have in every company that cares about the quality of its equipment. At MELKIB, we offer many different variants, which are characterized by different curing speeds, number of components, substrates and, importantly, curing times. Different compressive strength is also important. This is a technical parameter expressed in newtons per square millimeter (N/mm2). It allows you to determine with great precision how much load the coating of a given preparation will be able to withstand, so the larger it is, the greater the compressive load may also be.
Protective coatings - effective protection against downtime of machines and devices
Downtimes of entire production lines, individual machines or groups of devices are unfortunately an everyday occurrence, which is always associated with many unpleasantnesses, primarily the inability to meet deadlines for contractors. This problem can end in two ways - large contractual penalties or the need for accelerated work after the recovery of the given devices. You can also reduce the risk of their occurrence to a minimum, just use industrial coatings for this purpose.
The professional protective coatings available at MELKIB effectively reduce this risk, creating a thin film on mechanical elements that protects against damage and the resulting costs associated with repair. This means that they are worth using. Especially since protective coatings are easy to apply, even at temperatures as low as 10°C. The application process should be carried out, for example, using pressure guns, such as Teroson CUP, which allows the product to reach deep into closed profiles.
Another product worth noting and available in our assortment is the freezer, which allows the detection of microscopic cracks and cold solders, which can lead to the dysfunction of various devices and machines. This type of preparation is odorless and works by lowering the temperature of a given circuit to even -55°C, which facilitates testing, fault diagnosis and its repair, e.g. within AV devices.
Specialized protective coatings for the automotive industry available at MELKIB - learn about their characteristics
We offer a variety of manual and spray protective coatings for cars, therefore intended for the automotive industry, including, for example, an anti-splinter preparation, which is great for bodywork repairs (spot). This protective coating for car paint effectively protects it from abrasion, and also allows the reconstruction of the most important body structures, including bumpers and chassis. This protective coating for car paint is characterized by a short drying time, up to about 3 hours, and a high density, in the order of 1.22 g/cm3.
