Why use Loctite Emergency Repair products?
In everyday work, there is not always time to repair damaged elements using traditional methods. Machine downtime, or even the entire production line, generates huge costs. Products for ad hoc repairs allow you to maintain production continuity until the planned downtime and overhaul of the machine or line. They allow for quick sealing of a damaged pipe, filling losses in metal, e.g. in a bolt, or repairing defects in the concrete floor.
How to replace metal defects with Loctite two-component epoxy resins?
The first step is to properly prepare the surface by removing dirt, oil, grease and other contaminants. You can use a pressure washer for this. The surfaces can then be sandblasted, if possible, or sanded down. The prepared surface should be degreased with a water-free preparation.
Then, apply the thoroughly mixed product to the prepared surface before it becomes contaminated or corroded again. Apply more product and after hardening, work to the desired size.
