Description

Properties

Loctite PC 7202 is a two-component epoxy retaining primer. It is recommended for the installation of marine main propulsion engines and other devices requiring very durable ground. Thanks to the high compressive strength of up to 150 kg per cm 2it withstands maximum loads. Typical applications include: the installation of large heavy machinery, devices that generate vibrations that cause enormous pressures that can cause standard floors to crumble.

Use

  • installation of marine engines and heavy machinery and equipment that cause vibrations

Advantages

  • temperature resistance up to 120 °C
  • self-leveling
  • vibration resistant
  • high chemical resistance
  • does not shrink

Product entered in Lloyd's LOCTITE REGISTER PC 7202 Orange - Approval for a maximum load of 3.5 MPa at a measured minimum exothermic temperature of 40 °C or for a maximum load of 5.0 MPa when the grouting is hardened with a minimum temperature of 80 °C for 16 hours. LOCTITE PC 7202 Green - Approved for a maximum load of 5.0 MPa when the underlay is hardened with a minimum temperature of 80 °C for 16 hours.

Instructions for use

Surface preparation:
1. 24 hours before starting work, bring the product to room temperature of about 22 C.
2. The product obtains the best spilling and filling properties when the temperature of the foundation slabs or machine elements are at least 15 C.
3. After setting the machine in the right position. Go crazy for a foundation thickness of 12 to 70 mm. Check the tightness of the formwork so that the product does not find an outlet. To obtain thicker layers than 70 mm, the product is poured in layers, taking good to ensure that the previous layer is fixed and cooled. Too much disposable amount can lead to damage to the spout. Each subsequent layer should be made before 12 hours.
4. Before the front edge of the foundation slab, it is necessary to raise the formwork to create a product overflow there.
5. As a front formwork plate, it is best to use a steel angle, which must be at least 12.5 mm higher than the bottom edge of the foundation slab and must be 16 to 19 mm away from the front edge of the foundation slab.
6. In the area intended for the pit and in the area of the anchor, a non-adhesive agent or grease shall be applied to allow the final setting operations of the machinery to be planted.

Mixing:
1. Check the temperature of the Loctite 7202 mortar and the foundation slab.
2.Depending on the quantity, pour the contents of the can with hardener into the resin can in volume ratios of 100: 11.6 or weight ratio 100 : 6.9 and mix with a high-power mixer for at least 1 to 5 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Stir at a moderate rate to prevent the mortar from spinning, which could lead to air being trapped in it. If this happens, leave the mixed product for 3 to 5 minutes until air is released.
Application:
1. Pour the product in one corner to facilitate air departure and ensure good contact with the adhesion surface. At 25 °C, the shelf life is about 10 to 15 minutes.
2. Before tightening the screws and checking the axiality, the mortar should harden according to the following times:
35 hours at 15 °C
24 hours at 21 °C
16 hours at 26 °C
11 hours at 32 °C

Storage

Optimum storage temperature: +8°C to +21°C. Storage below +8°C or above +28°C can irreversibly change the properties of the product.
