Fluxes – for soldering and welding Brazing is the joining of small elements, welding of large elements. The first process is definitely less complicated than welding and could not do without fluxes. Fluxes make the welding process easier, although their presence is debatable. However, they are required for submerged arc welding. Fluxes are substances that enable effective soldering and welding of various elements, connecting them together in a stable environment without uneven heating of one of them. Our offer includes the following types of fluxes: soldering fluxes; torch soldering fluxes; fluxes for wave soldering.
Soldering is performed using various methods, and one of them involves the use of soldering flux. The fluxes in our offer clean the soldered elements from unnecessary oxides that pose a threat to the weld. The products from the presented range are made on the basis of rosin and contain activators that significantly facilitate soldering.
Torch brazing (brazing) requires the use of fluxes that dissolve oxides that are present on the surfaces of the joined metal elements. The flux spreads evenly and penetrates the metal, connecting it with a durable weld.
Our offer includes:
- rosin fluxes in various sizes;
- medium-active fluxes (also with rosin);
- fluxes with brushes (for bleaching and passive soldering);
- gel fluxes in a syringe (SMT repair/assembly).
We also offer fluxes for wave soldering. This through-hole and variable soldering method is often used to connect surface elements on double-sided boards, as well as those composed of multiple layers. Wave soldering fluxes from our offer work to prevent the formation of so-called bridges (also called short circuits) and balls that weaken the weld. Their task is also to fill holes subject to metallization.
Both welding and soldering, whether metal or plastic, cannot be performed properly without the use of appropriate fluxes (although in the case of welding this is a debatable issue - fluxes are only required for submerged arc welding). Our offer includes a diverse selection of substances that:
- increases the efficiency of welding/soldering;
- prevent defective welds;
- extend the life of the weld;
- remove non-metallic residues from joined surfaces;
- prevent the formation of new oxides during soldering/welding;
- enables safe soldering in high current environments;
- reduces chipping of soldered material.
The products in our offer enable you to make durable connections in the soldering process. Using the preparations available in the assortment is a way to achieve effective and durable welds, resistant to mechanical damage, vibrations and oscillations. Each of the products available in our offer has been tested for durability and quality - we only offer top-class fluxes!
Soldering fluxes – everything you need to know
Fluxes are substances used during soldering to facilitate the flow of solder and improve the quality of the connection between components. They are necessary for the proper soldering process, ensuring proper surface cleanliness, eliminating oxides and other contaminants. In our Melkib store you will findsoldering fluxes, from which you will choose a product tailored to a specific material and soldering process. Without proper use of flux, the joint may be of poor quality, leading to potential defects in the final product or repair. However, excess flux can also lead to problems such as a weakened joint. Therefore, it is important to properly dosage and use the purchased products in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and industry standards.
What are the types of soldering fluxes?
One of the popular types is brazing flux, which will work wherever a durable and durable connection is required. In turn, soft soldering flux is an ideal choice for connecting elements that do not have to withstand high mechanical loads, such as electronic components or copper pipes in water and sanitary installations. Electronic soldering fluxes are specially formulated to ensure clean and reliable connections in electronic devices. They usually contain agents that reduce the formation of oxides and substances that improve electrical conductivity, which is important for ensuring the stability and durability of connections in electronic systems.
