How to use cyanoacrylate adhesive?
The surface should first be cleaned and degreased with an appropriate cleaner depending on the type of surface (especially important for plastics, so that the remover does not damage them, we recommend Loctite 7063). Then you can start gluing. The surfaces must fit well, without gaps.
How do cyanoacrylate adhesives work?
Cyanoacrylate adhesives cure after cutting off the air by putting tightly fitting surfaces together. Cyanoacrylate adhesives are solvent-free and heat is generated during the bonding process.
What to use cyanoacrylate adhesive for?
Cyanoacrylate adhesives connect a wide variety of materials. They are often used for auxiliary bonding, prior to construction bonding, which requires more time to cure. Cyanoacrylate adhesives are suitable for bonding seals (o-rings) and all kinds of quick, minor workshop and home repairs.
Additives for cyanoacrylate adhesives
In combination with instant adhesives, the following are often used:
- primers - allow for gluing difficult materials such as PP, PE, silicone rubbers, etc.
- activators - accelerate hardening and allow the adhesive to harden
