Sealants, agents for gaskets
In this category, we present an assortment supporting the sealing of molds (sealers) of various types, metal molds, synthetic molds, and also molds for gaskets. We also offer seals in many forms, including:
- dynamic gaskets mb;
- calibration seals mb;
- resin channel seals mb;
- hard gaskets mb;
- lip seals m.
Each type of gasket has its own function. The dynamic seals installed in the drive elements block contaminants that could get into the components. They also prevent lubricants from flowing out of driveline components. They are primarily intended for use with reciprocating or rotating elements.
Sealants and gaskets
Use of calibrating gaskets
Calibrating gaskets are used to shape channels for the installation and assembly of a lip seal. Lip seals, on the other hand – similarly to dynamic ones, but with minor differences – prevent lubricants from flowing out and contaminants from entering rolling bearings in electric motors, elements of industrial machines or various types of pumps. Resin channel seals or seals are used for proper resin flow, and hard seals are used to seal and separate the part chamber from the vacuum chamber. It, in turn, is used to close LRTM forms.
Gasket agents, i.e. preparations for sealing metal molds, are used to enhance the effect of previously applied release agents. Mold sealants from our offer penetrate into metal molds with surface defects, filling and leveling them. Agents of this type get into the pores present on the surface of metal forms, and also fill cavities in the form of scratches.
The products we offer retain very high thermal stability after obtaining high hardness. Thanks to this, the preparation is able to withstand heat of 400 degrees Celsius. However, the basic component of sealants from our offer is ether, i.e. a flammable substance. It should be applied at a temperature of 15 to 60 degrees Celsius. The application is extremely simple, because the preparation is enough to apply with a brush or cloth on a previously cleaned element.
It is worth recalling that mold sealants should be stored at a certain temperature. It should not fall below 8 or exceed 21 degrees Celsius. Otherwise, the substances contained in the container may change their properties, which in turn leads to unpredictable results (the most common is simply the loss of effectiveness by the preparation).
Micro porosity in metal molds is not unusual. It occurs frequently, so it should be prevented by filling the pores with appropriate sealants. They enhance the anti-adhesive effect of other preparations, thanks to which the subsequent removal of the plastic in the finished, assumed shape from the mold is not difficult.
We believe that the products from our offer will prove helpful, effective and efficient throughout their lifetime!
