Properties
LOCTITE Frekote FMS is a solvent-based sealant. It is perfect for working with molds made of reinforced fiberglass, polyester, epoxy and other resins. The agent is a quick-drying, transparent liquid with the smell of hydrocarbon.

Use
LOCTITE Frekote FMS is used primarily in the moulding industry. It is used to seal new and used molds on the surface of which there are microporosities, scratches and other minor defects. The product is particularly popular with new and raw forms that require special care.

Instructions for use
- the surface of the mould must be cleaned of dust and adhesives. The product should only be applied to dry forms
- the product should be applied using a clean, non-snotting cotton cloth, which should be soaked with Frekote FMS so that the cloth is wet but not draining
- the product should be applied evenly over an area of about 0.5 m²
- when the edges of the square begin to dry after about 10 seconds, wipe the surface dry with a second non-sleaking cotton cloth
- Frekote FMS coating should be applied in this way to subsequent fragments of the mold, which can gently overlap each other
- it is recommended to apply two layers with an interval of 10 - 15 minutes. After applying the final layer, wait 20 - 30 minutes for its full curing.
Storage
LOCTITE Frekote FMS should be stored in closed containers in dry and cool rooms. The remnants of the used material should not be placed again in the original packaging, as this could lead to contamination of the unused product. The optimum storage temperature of the product is from 8 to 21 °C. Storing FMS Frekote at too low or too high a temperature can lead to irreversible changes in the properties of the product.
