PVC (polyvinyl chloride) adhesives are specially designed to effectively connect components made of PVC, which is a versatile and widely used plastic. Due to the wide range of PVC applications, from pipes and linings to decorative elements and device casings, these adhesives must meet a variety of requirements to ensure durable and reliable connections.
PVC adhesives

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) adhesives are specifically designed to effectively bond components made from PVC, which is a versatile and widely used plastic. Due to the wide range of applications for PVC, from pipes and cladding to decorative elements and appliance casings, these adhesives must meet a variety of requirements, ensuring durable and reliable connections.
Properties:
- High adhesion: PVC adhesives are characterized by strong adhesion to PVC surfaces, ensuring a strong and durable bond.
- Moisture resistance: are resistant to water and moisture, making them an ideal choice for indoor and outdoor applications.
- Chemical resistance: are good resistance to many chemicals, allowing them to be used in environments exposed to chemicals.
- Speed of curing: are characterized by a fast curing time, allowing for quick installation and repairs.
- Flexibility: after They remain flexible after drying, allowing the connection of elements subjected to mechanical stress.
- Ease of application: available in various forms, such as pastes, gels or liquids, which makes it easier to apply and adapt to a specific application.
Application:
- Construction: in PVC pipe installations, wall and ceiling cladding, as well as in the construction of PVC windows and doors.
- Plumbing and sanitary installations: for connecting pipes and fittings in water and sewage systems.
- Advertising and decoration: in the production of advertising materials, such as banners and signs, and PVC decorative elements.
- Furniture industry: for the assembly of furniture elements made of PVC, such as strips and profiles decorative.
- Repair and maintenance: in the repair of cracks and damage in PVC elements, both in home and industrial conditions.
PVC adhesives are an essential component in many projects requiring a durable and reliable connection of PVC elements. The selection of the appropriate adhesive depends on the specifics of the project, operating conditions and requirements for the strength and resistance of the connection.
PVC adhesive - the most important performance parameters
Each PVC adhesive available in our store is characterized by good performance parameters, fully compliant with the requirements of modern entrepreneurs. Thanks to the precise production process and carefully designed composition, they provide strong adhesion and excellent properties. So what are the differences between them?
Full curing time
The full curing time of the PVC adhesive is the most important factor determining the time after which the connected surfaces can be used. Each PVC adhesive available in our store cures in the time specified in the technical data, which is even a dozen or so seconds.
Time to achieve a non-stick coating
Achieving a non-stick coating is an issue that improves work comfort, which occurs quite quickly in relation to full hardening. During this time, direct contact with the glued surface should be avoided; it can leave traces on it and weaken the final structure. Our adhesives are characterized by an optimized drying time, adapted to the needs of users, which is about 4 hours.
Shore A hardness
The hardness of the adhesive, measured on the Shore hardness scale, reflects its resistance to deformation and the resulting loss of structural uniformity, as this parameter is in the range of 0-100. The lowest value, defined as 0, describes maximally flexible materials, while the highest - 100, materials without the possibility of their deformation. Our products are characterized by the appropriate hardness - about 55 on the Shore scale, which is a guarantee of the stability and durability of the applications made.
Shrinkage level
The shrinkage level of our PVC adhesives, also referred to as mass shrinkage, determines the percentage change in the volume of the adhesive during its curing process. This is an important feature that minimizes the risk of gaps in the connections, which could negatively affect their strength. PVC gluing is a priority for us, which is why we guarantee the shrinkage of our products at a level of <5% to even <3%.
Processing temperature
The processing temperature range, i.e. the range expressed in °C in which the soft PVC adhesive can be applied to the bonded surfaces, is not without significance in the case of work in various environmental conditions. We know perfectly well that our preparations are used in a wide variety of environmental conditions, which is why we offer adhesives intended for application at temperatures, on average, from min. + 5 °C to max. + 35 °C.
It is worth remembering that the processing temperature is not the same as temperature resistance. The latter value is responsible for the real resistance of the dried, hardened surface to the effects of given temperatures. This is of great importance in the case of gluing components of air conditioning units. Practically every PVC membrane adhesive available at MELKIB can be exposed to temperatures of min. - 40 °C to max. + 120 °C, and for a short time up to + 180 °C (30 min.).
Good PVC adhesive? Only at MELKIB!
We invite you to buy today! Each PVC foil adhesive available at MELKIB is a high-quality product and intended for professional tasks and demanding applications. Most of them are resistant to UV, chlorine or mold. What's more, all of them have an extended shelf life of up to 18 months, as well as the ability to maintain long-term flexibility with the possibility of powder coating.
