WEICON Green Tube Assembly Adhesive 10104456 is an assembly set containing three foil bags of white acrylic dispersion adhesive, each with a capacity of 280 ml. The set therefore provides a total of 840 ml of adhesive. It is designed for assembly, repair and finishing work carried out indoors and outdoors.

The adhesive combines high initial adhesion with high final strength and rapid curing. Once dry, the adhesive joint can be sanded, plastered and coated with commercially available paints and varnishes. Its solvent-free, low-emission formula is suitable for installing skirting boards, decorative mouldings, panels, boards, profiles, cable ducts and other finishing elements.

The Green Tube system combines a reusable cardboard casing with replaceable foil adhesive bags. This reduces the amount of plastic and the volume of packaging waste compared with conventional plastic cartridges.

Surface preparation

The bonding surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dust and other contaminants that could reduce adhesion. Heavily contaminated substrates should be cleaned appropriately. Mechanical preparation, such as sanding, may improve adhesion on some materials.

An adhesion and material compatibility test is recommended before using the adhesive on painted, coated or plastic surfaces.

Application

1. Remove a foil adhesive bag and prepare the Green Tube casing.
2. Place the foil bag inside the cardboard casing.
3. Carefully cut open the foil bag directly below the closure clip.
4. Fit the cartridge closure and screw on an application nozzle.
5. Cut the nozzle to match the required adhesive bead width.
6. Insert the Green Tube into a standard cartridge gun.
7. Apply the adhesive evenly to the prepared substrate.
8. Join the components before a skin forms on the adhesive.
9. If necessary, secure or support the components until sufficient handling strength has been achieved.

The curing time depends on the thickness of the adhesive layer, substrate type and absorbency, temperature and ambient humidity.

Green Tube packaging system

In the Green Tube system, the adhesive is contained in a foil bag placed inside a cardboard casing. The foil bag protects the casing from direct contact with the adhesive, allowing the clean and undamaged casing to be reused.

During application, the foil bag is gradually compressed, reducing the volume of packaging waste. According to the manufacturer, Green Tube packaging uses approximately 80% less plastic than a conventional plastic cartridge.

Storage

Store the product in its unopened original packaging at room temperature. Protect it from direct sunlight, frost and sources of heat. When stored correctly, the minimum shelf life is 24 months.
