Directions for use
Thoroughly clean the surfaces to be soldered, removing dirt, grease, oxides and residues from previous processes. As the bar is a monolithic solder alloy without a flux core, a separate flux suitable for the materials and soldering technology must be used.
Heat and apply the solder in accordance with the process parameters established for the specific material, flux and joint type. Do not overheat the alloy and avoid uncontrolled generation of fumes and dust.
Restrictions on use
The Sn60Pb40 alloy contains lead. Before using it in electrical or electronic equipment, verify whether the product is subject to RoHS restrictions. Use is permitted only in processes where lead is legally allowed or covered by an applicable exemption.
Safety information
The product contains lead and may damage fertility, the unborn child and organs through prolonged or repeated exposure. Read the current safety data sheet before use.
Ensure effective ventilation, avoid breathing fumes, dust and vapours, and wear suitable gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. Do not eat, drink or smoke while soldering. Wash hands thoroughly after completing the work.
Storage
Store at room temperature in a dry place, away from food and out of reach of unauthorised persons. Protect against contamination and moisture.
