Loctite 401 universal fast curing instant adhesive, low viscosity, for metal, rubber, plastic, wood, cardboard and ceramics
Description
Properties
Loctite 401 adhesive is designed for surfaces that are difficult to glue together, which require that stress is equally transferred and/or excellent shear strength.
Benefits of using
- fast bonding of plastics, metals and rubbers
- additionally combines porous materials - paper, fabric leather and wood
- low viscosity
- with primer the bonding of low-energy materials like polyolefins is possible
Use
Instant bonding of plastics, metals, rubbers and porous materials

Instructions for use
- In order to achieve the best results of operation, it is necessary to clean and degrease all surfaces with Loctite SF 7063 remover. Accurate degreasing is crucial for proper gluing of elements.
- In the case of gluing low-energy plastics, use Loctite Primer SF 770 before applying the adhesive and wait for it to dry fully.
- If it is necessary to use an activator, apply it to one of the surfaces.
- Apply the adhesive to one of the surfaces (do not apply on the surface on which the activator is applied)
- Press the glued elements and hold until the glue hardens
- Full curing of the adhesive occurs after 24-72 hours. Until then, do not subject the connection to full loads.
Storage
Store in dry and cool rooms. Recommended temperature range is +2ºC to +8°C. Heat the product to ambient temperature before use. Its optimal conditions of use are 22 °C and 50 % relative humidity. Storage at a temperature outside the recommended range may irreversibly change the properties of the product.
