LOCTITE SI 5710 2K 400 ml is an ultra-clear, two-component, low-viscosity silicone potting compound designed for potting, sealing and coating applications in lighting, electrical and optical industries. The product is also known as the successor / replacement used instead of LOCTITE SI 5700.

After mixing both components in a 1:1 ratio, the material cures at room temperature, and the curing process can be accelerated with heat. Thanks to its polyaddition silicone technology, it releases no by-products during curing, has low shrinkage and is non-corrosive.

5. Excess uncured material can be removed with an organic solvent, such as acetone, in accordance with safety rules and the current safety data sheet.

LOCTITE SI 5710 2K is not recommended for use in pure oxygen systems, oxygen-rich environments or as a sealant for chlorine or strong oxidising materials.

Some materials may inhibit curing. This includes organotin compounds, sulfur-containing materials and amine-containing materials. For new or critical applications, a test on real production parts is recommended.
