Molykote 106 synthetic grease based on silicone for bearings, guides, locks, pharmaceutical industry, cosmetics, anti-friction grease, high temperature resistance
Description
Molykote 106 is a silicone-based synthetic lubricant. This product has been developed for a wide range of industrial applications, especially where excellent resistance to high temperatures and extended lubrication intervals are required. Ensuring proper storage of the product is crucial to maintain its properties and ensure safety during use.
Properties:
- High temperature resistance: it is thermally stable and maintains its lubricating properties even at very high temperatures (up to 230°C).
- Long Lubrication Life: Thanks to its synthetic silicone base, it provides an extended lubrication life compared to mineral oil based lubricants.
- Water and Moisture Resistant: Resistant to water and moisture, which helps prevent corrosion and prolongs the life of mechanical components.
- Compatibility with most materials: it is compatible with most materials, such as steel, aluminum, copper, brass and plastics.
- Good adhesion: The product adheres well to the surface, ensuring effective lubrication and protection of mechanical elements.
- Long-lasting anti-friction coating.
Usage:
- Lubrication of bearings and guides in industrial machines.
- Use in ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Lubrication and protection of valves, seals and other components in the chemical industry.
- Application in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, where safety and resistance to high temperatures are required.
- Lubrication of electrical and electronic components such as relays and contacts.
Storage:
- Store at room temperature, away from sources of heat and light,
- Store in a dry place, protecting from moisture and water,
- Ensure proper ventilation of the warehouse to avoid vapor accumulation,
- Keep in original, sealed packaging to prevent contamination and loss of product properties,
- Store packages in an upright position to avoid lubricant leakage.
- Ensure packages are properly marked and labeled to avoid confusion and material incompatibility risks.
- Regularly check the condition of the packaging for damage or leakage. If any irregularities are found, transfer the grease to a new sealed package
- Keep technical data sheets (SDSs) readily available for each type of grease in stock so staff can quickly check product safety, properties and application information.
- Employee training: Ensure that those responsible for the storage and handling of lubricants are properly trained and aware of the storage and safe use of these products.
