Opis produktu

B. Braun Injekt Luer Solo 10 ml – precision 2-part syringe with Luer connection

B. Braun Injekt Luer Solo 10 ml is a sterile, single-use, two-part syringe equipped with a standard Luer connection. It combines a compact 10 ml capacity with a clear 0.5 ml graduation, allowing accurate control of the volume of liquid drawn up or delivered.

The transparent barrel, contrasting black graduation and green plunger facilitate visual inspection of the contents and volume reading. The 10 ml version features an eccentrically positioned Luer tip and is supplied without a needle in an individual sterile package.

Why choose Injekt Luer Solo 10 ml?

The 10 ml format is a practical choice when a larger capacity than small precision syringes is required while maintaining convenient control of the measured volume. The 0.5 ml graduation allows the quantity of liquid to be assessed quickly, while the standard Luer connection enables the syringe to be connected to suitable compatible equipment.

The two-part construction consists of a barrel and plunger without an additional rubber plunger seal. The manufacturer uses polypropylene for the barrel and polyethylene for the plunger.

Luer connection – what to consider when selecting accessories

Injekt Luer Solo uses a standard Luer connection. It is not a Luer Lock version with a threaded locking mechanism. When selecting connecting components, check that they are designed for the appropriate Luer connection used by this syringe.

This design makes the connection type easy to identify and allows suitable Luer-compatible equipment to be selected in accordance with the intended use specified by the manufacturer of each component.

Applications of B. Braun Injekt Luer Solo

B. Braun classifies Injekt Luer Solo as a sterile, single-use medical syringe. According to the manufacturer, it is intended for aspiration and administration of fluids in combination with appropriate medical devices, for the preparation of infusion solutions and for the withdrawal of fluids and tissues using suitable medical equipment.

The product is offered by Melkib within the dispensing components range due to its design, 10 ml capacity, graduated scale and Luer connection. As a medical device, however, it should be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and intended purpose.

Key features of Injekt Luer Solo 10 ml

  • nominal capacity of 10 ml,
  • two-part construction,
  • standard Luer connection,
  • eccentric tip position,
  • clear graduation in 0.5 ml increments,
  • highly transparent barrel for convenient visual inspection of the contents,
  • black abrasion-resistant graduation,
  • green plunger for easier volume reading,
  • integrated plunger stop to prevent accidental withdrawal of the plunger,
  • individual sterile packaging,
  • sterilisation with ethylene oxide EO,
  • single-use product,
  • supplied without a needle.

Materials and construction

The syringe barrel is made of polypropylene, while the plunger is made of polyethylene. According to B. Braun, the product is not manufactured using silicone oil, bisphenol A, latex, DEHP or PVC.

The two-part design eliminates the need for an additional plunger seal, while the transparent barrel and contrasting scale facilitate visual control of the contents during use.

When to choose the 10 ml capacity

The 10 ml version is suitable when smaller syringes do not provide sufficient volume but convenient handling and control of the liquid quantity are still important. The 0.5 ml graduation provides a practical balance between syringe capacity and readability of the scale.

If very precise work with small volumes is required, a lower-capacity version with finer graduation may be more appropriate. If a larger amount of liquid needs to be drawn up at one time, a larger syringe from the same product group may be considered.

What to check before use

Before use, check the integrity of the individual sterile packaging and the expiry date shown on the packaging of the specific product batch. Do not use the product if the packaging is open or damaged.

The syringe is intended for single use only. It must not be reused or resterilised. When selecting additional components for the Luer connection, make sure they are suitable for the specific intended application.
