Butyl tape 15×1.0 mm, 25 m, grey – self-adhesive, water- and vapour-tight
Description
Butyl tape 15×1.0 – 25 m, grey is a self-adhesive, permanently plastic sealing tape based on butyl rubber (IIR) for joints not carrying mechanical loads. It provides water and vapour tightness with very good adhesion to common building substrates.
Advantages and unique features
- “Ever-tacky” butyl mass – self-fusing, permanently tacky and plastic
- Water- and vapour-tight, resistant to ageing and weather
- Solvent-free, non-toxic and odourless
- Silicone film liner for quick, clean installation
- Size: 15 mm × 1.0 mm; 25 m roll; grey
Properties and applications
- Sealing of joints: overlaps of roofing membranes, light building materials, gaps and expansion joints (indoor/outdoor)
- Anti-corrosion spacer: isolation between metal parts
- Chemical resistance: diluted acids/alkalis within pH 5–9; not resistant to oils and organic solvents
- Application: dry, degreased substrate; roll down firmly after application
