Opis produktu
CRC ECO Leak Finder FPS 500 ml – gas and compressed air leak detection spray NSF P1
CRC ECO Leak Finder FPS 500 ml is a leak detection spray designed for gas installations, pipelines and compressed air systems. Its water-based formula produces clearly visible foam bubbles where gas escapes from a pressurised system.
Even a small leak at a valve, fitting or threaded connection can cause compressed air losses, pressure drops and operational problems. CRC ECO Leak Finder helps identify the exact location of a leak without the need for an electronic detector when carrying out basic inspections of accessible connections.
The product meets the requirements of EN 14291 and has NSF P1 registration for leak detection products used in food processing environments, subject to the conditions of that registration.
Applications of CRC ECO Leak Finder FPS
The spray is designed to locate gas leaks in pipelines and pressurised systems, particularly around joints and connections.
Gas installations
Inspection of accessible pipe joints, valves, fittings and other components of gas installations. Escaping gas is indicated by the formation of visible bubbles.
Compressed air systems
Detection of leaks in hoses, connections and components of pneumatic systems. Useful during technical inspections and when locating compressed air losses.
Industrial maintenance
Leak testing of connections in industrial gas and pneumatic systems. The spray helps locate leaks before repairing or replacing defective components.
Food processing industry
Thanks to NSF P1 registration, the product may be used for leak detection in food processing environments within the conditions of the registration. Direct and indirect contact with food and drinking water must be prevented.
What makes CRC ECO Leak Finder FPS 500 ml different?
Visible leak location
The water-based spray produces stable foam bubbles at the point where gas escapes. This makes it possible to identify a leaking connection rather than merely detect a pressure drop in the system.
Water-based formulation
The product contains surfactants and functional additives. According to the technical documentation, it is intended for use on metal surfaces and suitable plastics.
EN 14291 compliance and NSF P1 registration
CRC ECO Leak Finder meets EN 14291 requirements for gas leak detection products. The manufacturer also specifies DVGW registration NG-5170AS0069.
NSF P1 registration number 142801 applies to the aerosol version used for leak detection in food processing environments. It does not constitute approval for direct food contact.
Documented biodegradation test result
The manufacturer reports a biodegradation result of 31% according to OECD 301B. This is a test result and should not be interpreted as proof of complete biodegradability.
When should CRC ECO Leak Finder be used?
The spray is suitable for inspecting gas installations, checking joints after assembly and locating compressed air losses in industrial facilities.
For example, when a pneumatic system experiences a pressure drop, the operator can apply the spray to accessible connections and observe where bubbles appear. Once the leak has been located, its cause must be repaired and the system checked using an appropriate leak testing procedure.
Important: CRC ECO Leak Finder is a diagnostic product. It does not seal pipes or repair leaking connections.
How to use CRC ECO Leak Finder FPS
1. Preparation: ensure access to the connections being tested and follow all safety procedures applicable to the installation.
2. Application: spray a thin, even layer onto the area where a leak is suspected.
3. Inspection: observe the surface for bubble formation. Bubbles may indicate the location where gas is escaping.
4. Completion: rinse any remaining product with water after testing plastic or copper components and during inspections of oxygen systems, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Limitation: do not use the product on live electrical equipment. Oxygen system inspections must only be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements and applicable safety procedures.

FAQ – frequently asked questions
How can I find a leak in a compressed air system?
Apply CRC ECO Leak Finder to an accessible connection. The formation of foam bubbles indicates where compressed air is escaping.
Is CRC ECO Leak Finder suitable for gas installations?
Yes. The product is designed to detect gas leaks in pipelines and pressurised systems. It meets the requirements of EN 14291.
Can CRC ECO Leak Finder be used in the food processing industry?
Yes, within the scope of its NSF P1 registration. The product is intended for leak detection in food processing environments. Direct and indirect contact with food and drinking water must be prevented.
Does the spray seal detected leaks?
No. It is a diagnostic product. After locating a leak, its cause must be corrected and the installation tested using an appropriate method.
Can the spray be used on plastic and copper pipes?
The technical documentation permits use on suitable metal and plastic surfaces. After testing plastic or copper components, rinse off any remaining product with water.
Can CRC ECO Leak Finder detect compressed air leaks without an electronic detector?
Yes. It can be used for local inspection of accessible connections. Foam bubbles forming where gas escapes allow visual leak detection. However, the product does not measure leak flow rate or volume.
