KONTAKT 61 is a special cleaning, lubricating and anti-corrosion agent for electrical contacts and moving electromechanical parts. This 400 ml aerosol helps maintain the long service life of new or cleaned contacts.
APPLICATION
- Cleaning dirty electrical contacts.
- Lubricating sliding and plug-in sockets to reduce wear on contact surfaces.
- Protecting contact surfaces against moisture and corrosion.
For very dirty or corroded contacts, KONTAKT 60 is recommended.
BENEFITS
- Dissolves greasy dirt, oils and resinous deposits.
- Displaces moisture and forms a thin lubricating and protective film.
- Under normal conditions, the film does not affect electrical conductivity.

INSTRUCTIONS
- Apply using the aerosol; a tube applicator is included.
- Spray generously to clean the contact surface. A few drops on each pair of contacts are sufficient to form a lubricating and protective film.
- Cleaning can be assisted mechanically by operating a switch several times or inserting and removing a plug.
LIMITATIONS AND SAFETY
- Remove all sources of ignition before use.
- Do not spray onto equipment that is under voltage.
- At very low voltages, e.g. < 1 V, the field strength may be insufficient to break through the oil film. Individual testing is required for such applications.
- To reduce wear on contacts made of soft, plated precious metals, KONTAKT GOLD 2000 synthetic contact lubricant is recommended.
