Description

LOCTITE 603 50 ml is a one-component, low-viscosity anaerobic retaining compound for close-fitting cylindrical assemblies. It cures in the absence of air between metal surfaces, preventing loosening and leakage caused by shock and vibration.

Advantages and unique features

High strength after cure – reliable mounting of bearings, sleeves and bushings.
Low viscosity – wicks into tight gaps, including post-assembly.
Performs even on less-than-perfectly clean metal surfaces.
Green colour with UV fluorescence for inspection.

Properties and applications

Applications: retaining bearings, sleeves and shafts; preventing fretting and micro-movement.
Assembly: clean/degrease, apply to shaft and/or housing, assemble; use activator if faster cure is required.
Disassembly: heat locally to about 250 °C and dismantle while hot.
