LOCTITE SI 5970 is a black, one-component silicone sealant based on acetoxy silicone that cures at room temperature. It shows high resistance to strong vibrations and deformations. Application

It is perfect where there is a need for good oil resistance and resistance to significant displacement in joints. It can replace cork and paper gaskets on flange joints and metal stampings. Not recommended for installations with chlorine and other strong oxidizing materials.

Instructions for use
Clean the parts to be joined, removing all traces of oil and old sealing material.
The product should be applied with a continuous ribbon to the cleaned surface.
Hardening occurs under the influence of air contact, therefore the elements should be joined within a few minutes after application of the product.
The structure should not be subjected to high loads before the product is fully cured - the time recommended by the manufacturer is 7 days.
Excess product can be easily removed with non-polar solvents.
For fully automatic applications, the manufacturer recommends a volumetric dosing system

Storage
Store in a dry and cool place in a closed container. The recommended temperature is from + 8ºC to + 21 ° C. Storage outside the recommended temperature range may irreversibly change the properties of the product. Do not put glue remnants in the original packaging as it may contaminate the product.
