Properties
Loctite SI 5980 was specially developed for flange joint sealing applications. A big advantage is its resistance to low-pressure tests after installing flange joints. Excellent oil resistance. The product is used for sealing engines, gearbox, sump oil caps of timing drive chains, pump housing, transmissions, thermostat housing and in elements where high resistance to joint movements is needed. The advantage of the product is its easy dosing.

Instructions for use
- For best results, clean and degrease all surfaces with LOCTITE SF 7063
- The product cures under the influence of moisture at the time of the contact with air and must be combined in the shortest possible time to obtain the expected results
- Excess product can be easily washed off by using non-polar solvents
Storage
Store in dry and cool rooms at temperatures between +8ºC and 21°C. If the product is stored in a place where temperatures other than those recommended are present, the product may irreversibly lose all its properties. Do not put the residual silicone back in the original packaging as the entire product could become contaminated.
