Product description
LOXEAL 55-03 is a one component anaerobic threadlocker for medium size threads against self loosening, loosening, leakage and corrosion. Hardening of the product takes place after cutting off the supply of air (oxygen) in the gap between the two metal surfaces (in the thread). The adhesive is particularly useful on less active surfaces, e.g. stainless steel, chrome-plated surfaces, and it is permissible to use the adhesive on slightly oily surfaces (new in anaerobic adhesives). The product has proven resistance to loosening up to a temperature of + 200oC. Loxeal 55-03 is approved as a gas thread sealant in accordance with the European standard EN 751-1 (DVGW No. NG-5146AU0399 and GAZ DE FRANCE). It is approved for drinking water (TZW - WRAS). The product maintains its properties unchanged at temperatures from -55oC to + 200oC, and temporarily even up to + 250oC.
Application
The glue creates an elastic joint, which sufficiently secures the thread against self loosening, replaces other, most often mechanical methods: spring washers, flexible and bent washers, lock nuts, etc. The product is resistant to gas, air, water, oils, alkalis and many other chemicals and to impacts and vibrations. It maintains its properties in a wide range of operating temperatures (see below). It is especially used where frequent assembly and disassembly of threaded connections with normal tools is required, where access to the thread is difficult, and where precise degreasing of screwed surfaces is impossible. The adhesive also guarantees 100% protection against corrosion and tightness. The addition of a fluorescent substance allows the presence of glue in the thread to be detected using a UV lamp. Standard thread protection is obtained with a small amount of glue in the thread, while the tightness of the connection is achieved when the coil is completely filled with glue.
