Mobiltemp SHC Series products are premium quality anti-wear greases designed primarily for high temperature applications. They combine the unique properties of poly-alpha-olefin (PAO) synthetic base oils and a bentonite thickener. The excellent resistance to thermal/oxidative degradation due to the PAO base combined with the excellent structural stability at high temperatures and the high dropping point of the thickener result in unrivaled high temperature performance of these greases. The wax-free nature of the synthetic base oil and its high viscosity index also provide excellent lubrication at low temperatures and excellent protection of the lubricating film at high temperatures.

Since the PAO base oil has a low coefficient of adhesion (compared to mineral oils), Mobiltemp SHC Series greases also save energy by reducing friction and torque, and lowering temperatures in the load zone of rolling bearings. The Mobiltemp SHC Series consists of three products: Mobiltemp SHC 32 is an NLGI Grade 1 1/2 grease with an ISO VG 32 base oil; Mobiltemp SHC 100 is an NLGI 2 Grade 2 grease with an ISO VG 100 base oil; Mobiltemp SHC 460 Special is an NLGI Grade 1 grease with an ISO VG 460 base oil and molybdenum disulfide for enhanced wear protection.

Mobiltemp SHC Series greases are used in a wide range of high temperature applications as well as those where starting or starting torque at low temperature is important. They provide excellent grease life at high temperatures and enable extended relubrication intervals and energy savings.
