MOLYKOTE M-77 – MoS₂ solid lubricant paste for metal–metal & metal–plastic (brake anti-squeal), 1 kg
Description
MOLYKOTE M-77 – MoS₂ solid lubricant paste for metal–metal and metal–plastic, brake anti-squeal, 1 kg
MOLYKOTE M-77 is a solid-lubricant paste based on molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂) for sliding and assembly applications. It reduces friction, wear and stick-slip, helps quiet brake systems (anti-squeal) and stabilizes the motion of guides and low-speed joints. Charcoal/graphite colour, dense paste consistency.
Applications
Sliding contacts metal–metal and metal–plastic; assembly of brake components (anti-squeal on mounting/Contact areas — not on friction linings/discs), guides, joints, and running-in of bearings or tracks.
How to use
Clean and degrease the surfaces. Apply a thin, even layer with a brush or spatula. Do not mix with other greases. Do not apply to friction surfaces. Ensure adequate ventilation at the workstation.

FAQ
Brake anti-squeal paste — where should M-77 be applied?
On mounting/contact areas and metal interfaces within the brake assembly (e.g., back of the pad, contact points). Do not apply on linings or disc surfaces.
Metal–plastic slides — is M-77 suitable?
Yes. It is designed for both metal–metal and metal–plastic pairs to reduce friction and stick-slip.
How thick should the layer be?
A thin, uniform film is optimal. Excess does not improve lubrication and can attract contaminants.
Can I mix M-77 with other greases?
No. Mixing can impair performance and the stability of the lubricant film.
ADR/CLP — does M-77 carry hazard pictograms or transport restrictions?
No. According to the SDS it is not classified as hazardous and is not regulated under ADR/IMDG/IATA.
