MOLYKOTE® 111 Compound – Product Description
MOLYKOTE® 111 is a versatile product with a wide range of applications, known for its excellent lubrication and sealing properties. It is a silicone compound that finds application in many industrial areas where water resistance, temperature stability and compatibility with various materials such as plastics and elastomers are required.
Applications
MOLYKOTE® 111 is widely used in the following applications:
- Lubricating control and pressure valves, water softener valves and tap valves.
- Sealing vacuum and pressure systems and outdoor equipment exposed to water and harsh weather conditions.
- Dampening agent in electrical and electronic equipment.
- Preventing transformer gaskets and other equipment housings from sticking to metal, while providing resistance to weathering and water washout.
- Sealing and lubricating O-rings, gaskets and seals made of rubber and plastics.

Storage Recommendations
MOLYKOTE® 111 should be stored in original, tightly closed containers at temperatures between 0°C and 40°C. Under these conditions, the product has a service life of 60 months from the date of manufacture.
Avoid using MOLYKOTE® 111 on surfaces that are to be painted or finished, as coatings may not adhere to surfaces coated with this compound. If contaminated, surfaces may be cleaned with a solvent, detergent or immersed in a potassium hydroxide solution and then rinsed with clean water before painting.

MOLYKOTE® 111 is an excellent choice for applications requiring long-term lubrication and sealing in harsh environments. Before use in new applications, it is recommended that tests be carried out to ensure that the product meets all process requirements.
