Product description
WD-40 Specialist Contact Cleaner 250 ml for electrical contacts and electronics
WD-40 Specialist Contact Cleaner is a fast-drying, non-conductive aerosol designed for cleaning sensitive electrical and electronic components. It removes oil, dirt, dust, condensation, process residues and flux deposits and leaves no residue after drying.
IMPORTANT — extremely flammable aerosol
Disconnect the equipment from the power supply before use and allow hot components to cool down. Use the product away from ignition sources and in a well-ventilated area. Make sure the cleaner has completely evaporated before reconnecting the power supply.
What is WD-40 Specialist Contact Cleaner used for?
The cleaner is designed for sensitive electrical components where accumulated dust, oil, flux residues or moisture can interfere with correct operation.
The manufacturer indicates applications including printed circuit boards, switches, electrical components and printers. It can also be used on larger electric motors, relays, electrical panels and generators where its use is compatible with the equipment manufacturer's requirements.
Key properties
- fast drying,
- non-conductive after correct application and evaporation,
- leaves no residue,
- removes oil, dust, dirt, condensation and flux residues,
- quickly reaches difficult-to-access areas in electrical systems,
- suitable for plastics, rubber and metal in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations,
- 360° valve allows application at different angles,
- Smart Straw system enables wide or precise spray application.
How to use WD-40 Specialist Contact Cleaner
Completely disconnect the equipment from the power supply before cleaning and allow hot surfaces to cool. Shake the can well and apply the cleaner to the component to be cleaned.
Position the component so that excess liquid can drain freely. Do not use the product in closed cavities or areas without sufficient ventilation, as the cleaner must be able to evaporate completely.
After cleaning, allow the surface to dry completely before reconnecting the equipment to the power supply.
