Opis produktu
KONTAKT CHEMIE FLUX SK 10 is a lacquer-like flux solution based on natural resins, with no additives. It forms an evenly spreading, transparent protective film that protects soft-solderable metals against corrosion and helps maintain their solderability.
APPLICATION
The product is used, for example, for temporary corrosion protection of bare printed circuit boards during storage and of parts intended for subsequent soldering, such as solder terminals and cable shoes. It also helps maintain the solderability of lead cast parts used in accumulator manufacture and semi-finished products made from non-ferrous heavy metals.
BENEFITS
- Forms an evenly spreading, transparent protective film.
- Protects soft-solderable metals, including copper, tin, lead, brass and steel, against corrosion.
- The film does not need to be removed before soldering; it also acts as a highly effective flux.
- The resin film prevents direct contact between the metal and dust, dirt and fingerprints.
TECHNICAL DATA
- Form: lacquer-like flux solution.
- Base: natural resins, with no additives.
- Packaging: 200 ml aerosol.
- Aerosol propellant: carbon dioxide.
- Purpose of the film: temporary corrosion protection and maintenance of the solderability of soft-solderable metals.
INSTRUCTIONS
The aerosol is intended primarily for small series and service applications. There is no need to clean the valve by spraying the can upside-down.
For series applications, the product can be applied in its delivered form with a paint brush, by dip-coating or by spraying. For dip-coating, the immersion time and withdrawal speed should be fixed. The faster the withdrawal, the thicker the film.
LIMITATIONS AND SAFETY
The resin film provides corrosion protection in dry environments. The lacquer is also frequently used as a protective coating for printed circuit boards mainly intended for dry environments. In very damp environments, the resin undergoes slow hydrolysis, causing its corrosion-protection and electrical properties to deteriorate. For such applications, the manufacturer recommends the printed circuit board protective coatings KONTAKT CHEMIE Plastik 70, Urethane 71 or Silisol 73.
If another coating is to be applied after soldering, the solderable lacquer film must be removed. Cleaners based on alcohols, glycol ethers or hydrocarbons, such as KONTAKT CHEMIE Label Off 50, are recommended. For smaller numbers of parts, the manufacturer recommends the KONTAKT CHEMIE Kontakt PCC spray cleaner.
