Loctite Frekote FREWAX 1l Release agent
Description
Properties
LOCTITE Frekote Frewax is an easy-to-use polymer separator. The combination of wax with a semi-permanent adhesive means that the easy-to-apply product creates a visible layer that facilitates even application of the agent, and at the same time has the possibility of polymer resin for repeated separation. Polished Frewax leaves a shiny coating that allows for multiple separation.
Benefits of using
- faint smell
- easy application
- minimal accumulation on the mold
- time and labor savings due to multiple separations with single use
- very glossy surface after polishing
Use
LOCTITE Frekote Frewax is used everywhere where it is important to improve work and better use of molds. The product should be used in well-ventilated rooms. Use above 35 °C may result in gentle streaks.

Instructions for use
- clean the mold from all impurities and previously used adhesives. Then dry it thoroughly
- shake Frewax well before using it
- apply the product with a clean, non-pilling cotton cloth. Soak the cloth with Frewex
- apply a very wet layer of the product to the mold, starting from one of its ends. Repeat until the entire mould is covered
- after matting the layer (5 to 10 min at 21 °C), the frewex coated mold should be polished with a clean, non-pilling cotton cloth. The cloth should be replaced from time to time so as not to apply a wax bloom
- a total of 4 layers of the product should be applied to the mold, each time polishing them after 5 to 10 minutes. This will result in the formation of a thick layer that will seal all pores of the mold and allow for multiple separations.
Storage
Frekote Frewax should be stored in a tightly closed container in a dry and cool place. Due to the flammability of the solvents included in its composition, it is necessary to follow the current safety rules, as well as not to store the agent near oxidants and combustible materials. The optimum storage temperature of the product is between 8 °C and 21 °C, and exceeding these limits can irreversibly change the properties of the agent.
