Loxeal 53-14 anaerobic thread sealant 10 ml, medium-strength low-viscosity adhesive for tapered/parallel threads in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Description
Loxeal 53-14 anaerobic adhesive 10 ml is a single-component, medium-strength, low-viscosity product designed for sealing tapered/parallel threads in medium-size hydraulic and pneumatic components. It forms an elastic, leak-tight bond that replaces traditional thread sealing methods while providing high resistance to corrosion, vibration and temperature changes.
Benefits and unique features
- Medium strength – reliable sealing with the possibility of occasional disassembly of the joint.
- Low viscosity, allowing the adhesive to penetrate tapered/parallel threads and completely fill gaps.
- Replaces hemp, sealing pastes and PTFE tape in hydraulic and pneumatic pipework.
- Resistant to gas, air, water, oils, alkalis and many industrial chemicals.
- High resistance to vibration and shock – the joint does not loosen during service.
- Corrosion protection, preventing oxidation and seizure of threaded parts.
- Brown fluorescent colour for easy inspection of thread coverage under UV light.
- Handy 10 ml bottle ideal for service work, maintenance and on-site assembly.
Properties and applications
- Hydraulic systems: sealing tapered/parallel threads in valves, manifolds, fittings, connectors and branches.
- Pneumatic systems: securing threaded joints against micro-leaks and pressure loss.
- Process media sealing: suitable for water, air, technical gases, oils and many alkaline and solvent-based fluids.
- Joints exposed to vibration: used in machinery, compressors, pumps and equipment where threads are subjected to vibration and shock loads.
- Anti-corrosion protection of threads: complete filling of the thread blocks oxygen and moisture, reducing the risk of seizure.
- Joints requiring high tightening torque: recommended where high clamping forces and reliable tightness of the installation are required.

Storage recommendations
Store Loxeal 53-14 in its original, tightly closed bottle in a dry place away from heat sources and direct sunlight, at temperatures between +8 °C and +28 °C. Protect from contamination, moisture and access by children. Always close the container carefully after use to avoid premature gelation of the product.
FAQ
What is Loxeal 53-14 used for?
It is a medium-strength, low-viscosity anaerobic adhesive for sealing tapered/parallel threads in hydraulic and pneumatic installations, replacing conventional thread sealants.
Can joints sealed with Loxeal 53-14 be dismantled?
Yes, the product provides a strong seal but allows occasional disassembly of threaded joints using normal tools.
How should the surfaces be prepared?
All threads must be thoroughly cleaned from old sealants and degreased with a suitable cleaner. Activator 11 may be used where faster cure is required.
In which media does the adhesive perform well?
The cured seal is resistant to gas, air, water, oils, alkalis and many other chemicals, making it suitable for typical industrial pipework.
Is the product suitable for plastics?
Use of Loxeal 53-14 is not recommended in systems with pure oxygen or chlorine and in contact with plastics, especially thermoplastics, where stress cracking may occur.
