Product description
MOLYKOTE 33 Medium Extreme Low Temperature Grease 100 g is a white, silicone-based grease for bearings and precision mechanisms operating at extremely low temperatures. The “Medium” grade (NLGI 2) provides stable consistency, very low start-up torque and reliable lubrication under light to moderate loads.
Benefits and unique features
- Wide service range: −73 °C to +204 °C – dependable cold starts
- Low start-up torque even at −73 °C – better protection at cold start
- NLGI 2 – stable consistency for ball bearings and lightly/moderately loaded gear trains
- Compatible with many plastics and rubber – typically does not soften materials
- Good oxidation and moisture resistance – extended service intervals
- Not subject to ADR/IMDG/IATA – easier logistics
Properties and applications
- Precision bearings and drives: small motors, fine gear trains, measuring instruments, optical devices.
- Cold-room equipment: carts and conveyors in chillers/freezers; mechanisms requiring easy start-up.
- Automotive/electronics: windshield-wiper gearboxes, starter clutch drives.
- Application note: not recommended for highly loaded ferrous sliding combinations; avoid applying to surfaces to be painted.

FAQ
1) What is the service temperature?
Approximately −73 °C to +204 °C – engineered for extreme low temperatures.
2) How does Medium differ from Light?
Medium has higher consistency (NLGI 2) and slightly higher start-up torques; Light is NLGI 1 for the lowest friction.
3) Is it suitable for plastics and rubber?
Yes, it typically does not soften most plastics and can lubricate plastic gears, bearings and cams.
4) Is it hazardous or ADR-regulated?
No – it is not classified as hazardous and is not subject to ADR/IMDG/IATA.
