Product description
MOLYKOTE 33 Light Extreme Low Temperature Grease 100 g is a white, silicone grease for bearings and precision mechanisms operating at very low temperatures. The “Light” grade (NLGI 1) delivers very low start-up torque, stable lubrication under light to moderate loads, and compatibility with many plastics and rubber.
Benefits and unique features
- Wide service range: −73 °C to +204 °C – reliable cold start
- Very low start-up torque – ideal for delicate mechanisms and cold starts
- Compatible with many plastics and rubber – does not soften most materials
- Good resistance to oxidation and moisture – extended service intervals
- Lithium-soap thickener + silicone base oil – shear stability and easy application
Properties and applications
- Precision bearings and drives: electric clocks, optical devices, measuring instruments, small motors.
- Cold-room equipment: freezer carts, cold-room conveyors, mechanisms starting at low temperatures.
- Automotive/electronics: windshield wiper gearboxes, starter clutch drives, small gear trains.
- Application note: not recommended for highly loaded ferrous sliding combinations.
