The Mobil Rarus 400 Series is a range of high performance ashless air compressor lubricants designed to meet the stringent requirements of the major compressor manufacturers. They are composed of high-quality mineral base oils and a high-quality additive package designed to provide exceptional equipment protection and the reliability of compressors operating in mild to severe conditions. They provide excellent wear protection and the ability to lower maintenance costs by minimizing equipment problems, and carried over sludge and contamination. Due to the high ratings of the FZG, the Mobil Rarus 400 Series is an outstanding grease for compressor systems with gears and bearings, particularly suitable for the lubrication of crankcases and cylinders.

Usage
Mobil Rarus 400 Series oils are recommended for use in single and multi stage air compressors. They are especially effective for continuous operation at high temperatures. The maximum compressed air temperature, in accordance with DIN 51506, is 220 ° C. They are suitable for reciprocating and rotary machines where lubricants with lower viscosity grades are used, mainly for rotary compressors. Rarus 400 series oils are recommended for equipment with known problems with excessive oil degradation, poor valve performance or deposit formation. They are compatible with all metals used in compressor construction and with elastomers compatible with mineral oils used in seals, O-rings and gaskets.

Mobil Rarus 400 Series oils are not designed or recommended for use in breathing air compressors.
