  • Adhesive properties: Liquid contact adhesive
  • Available packages: 50ml, 300ml, 800g

Application instruction

Pattex Universal Classic should be applied evenly on both glued surfaces using a spatula, notched trowel or a short brush. Pay particular attention to the edges of the material. After applying the glue, it is necessary to leave the glued elements or parts until the solvent evaporates. The evaporation time at room temperature (18 ° C-25 ° C) is approximately 10-15 minutes. Pay attention to even evaporation from the entire glued surface. After the evaporation time has elapsed, bonding can take place within a maximum of 2 hours. Adequate ventilation must be ensured during the gluing and evaporation of the solvent.
Joining:
Prepare the parts carefully for gluing, because after gluing two layers of glue, it is impossible to make corrections. The glued elements are then pressed very tightly. Pressure is the determining factor for the bond strength, not the pressing time. Larger surfaces, laminates and metals should be pressed in a press with a pressure of at least 0.5 N / mm2 or more. Depending on the type of objects to be glued, roller pressure may also be sufficient. Apply pressure from the inside to avoid air bubbles. Carefully apply the glue and press the edges of the surfaces to be glued. The initial bond strength is very high and the glued parts can be further processed immediately after pressing.
Clean tools with standard solvents immediately after use. Remove fresh stains with a cloth soaked in gasoline. Older stains on fabrics can be removed with a solvent (e.g. petrol) or dry cleaned. From other materials, remove stains with standard solvents. Before use, check the resistance of the substrate to solvents.

Storage

Up to 24 months from the production date. Store in the tight original packaging at room temperature. Keep the container tightly closed, even during short work breaks, to prevent evaporation of the solvent. Avoid temperatures below + 5 ° C and above + 50 ° C. It does not require heating the car during transport. Temperature drops down to -10 ° C are allowed, not exceeding three days. If the material has been stored at a temperature below + 5 ° C or has been frozen, the adhesive should slowly adjust to a temperature of about + 20 ° C. This does not in any way affect its operational and technical parameters.
