Shell Gadus S3 V220C 2 EP is a high-performance multipurpose grease designed for demanding industrial and automotive applications where reliable lubrication under heavy loads is essential. Based on mineral oil with a lithium thickener, it provides excellent mechanical stability, strong resistance to water washout, and outstanding protection against wear, corrosion, and seizure.
This grease is formulated to perform consistently in equipment exposed to vibration, shock loads, and elevated temperatures. It maintains its structure during service and offers long service life, making it a dependable choice for reducing maintenance intervals and protecting critical components. Its high dropping point and wide operating temperature range support effective lubrication in both hot and moderately cold operating conditions.
Shell Gadus S3 V220C 2 is recommended for rolling and plain bearings, wheel hubs, electric motors, fans, blowers, joints, chains, ropes, pins, chassis points, and other heavily loaded components. It is particularly suitable for use in continuous steel casting lines, vibrating screens, quarries, conveyors, and wheel bearings in vehicles.
Product characteristics include excellent EP performance, very good resistance to water and mechanical stress, strong vibration resistance, and reliable high-temperature capability. The grease meets ASTM D4950-08 GC-LB and SEB 18 12 53 specifications.
