SikaLastomer-710 grey 310 ml is a non-sagging butyl sealant with a paste-like and plastic consistency. It seals joints while allowing the components to be disassembled later if required. It is suitable where effective sealing is needed without creating a permanent structural bond.

The grey variant reduces colour contrast on grey and light-coloured components. The product cures through physical drying by solvent evaporation and does not require heat.

When to choose the grey variant

Choose the grey variant when the seal should create less colour contrast on grey or light-coloured components. It is particularly useful for serviceable joints that require protection against water but may need to be opened later.

SikaLastomer-710 is not a structural adhesive and must not replace mechanical fastening or a load-bearing adhesive.

The product is intended for experienced professional users. Adhesion and material compatibility must be verified on the original substrates and under actual processing conditions before serial application.

SikaLastomer-710 has weak resistance to fuels, mineral oils and vegetable or animal fatty oils. Project-specific tests are required where prolonged chemical or thermal exposure is expected.

The sealant can only be overpainted with certain water-based coating systems. Compatibility must be confirmed by preliminary testing.

Directions for use

1. Remove dust, grease, oil, water and other contamination from the surfaces.
2. Where adhesion is critical, test the product on the original substrate.
3. Place the cartridge in a suitable manual or compressed-air gun.
4. Apply an even bead while avoiding air entrapment.
5. Apply at temperatures between +10°C and +35°C.
6. Tool the joint with water and soap if required.
