TESA ACXplus 7063 High Adhesion, double-sided acrylic foam tape 800 µm, black, 25 m × 19 mm, for powder-coated surfaces and plastics
Description
TESA ACXplus 7063 High Adhesion is a black, double-sided acrylic foam tape with 800 µm thickness in a 25 m × 19 mm size. Its viscoelastic acrylic core and high-tack adhesive deliver very high bonding power, stress dissipation, and resistance to temperature and weathering. It is designed for durable bonding of “hard-to-bond” substrates such as powder-coated surfaces and plastics.
Benefits and unique features
- Very high initial tack and bond strength on demanding substrates
- Viscoelastic foam core compensates thermal expansion and dissipates stress
- Temperature resistance: 70 °C long-term, 170 °C short-term
- Very good resistance to plasticiser migration
- Effective bonding of metal/metal and metal/plastic
Properties and applications
- Powder-coated surfaces and plastics: engineered for “hard-to-bond” substrates.
- Metal parts including metal/metal joints: high process safety thanks to immediate tack.
- Example applications: protective bumpers, powder-coated blades and panels, air distributors.
- Stress compensation: acrylic foam core equalises differential thermal expansion.

Storage recommendations
Store in a clean, dry and cool place, away from UV and heat sources, in the original packaging. Clean and degrease surfaces before application; always perform a bonding test on the target material.
FAQ
1) What is the tape thickness?
800 µm (acrylic foam tape).
2) Is it suitable for powder-coated surfaces?
Yes, it is designed for “hard-to-bond” substrates including powder-coated parts.
3) What temperature resistance does it have?
70 °C long-term and 170 °C short-term.
4) Will it bond low surface energy plastics like PP?
Yes, but bond levels are lower (approx. 3 N/cm initially and 6 N/cm after 14 days) — testing is recommended.
5) Typical applications?
Protective bumpers, powder-coated panels/blades and air distributors.
