TESA ACXplus 7063 High Adhesion, double-sided acrylic foam tape 800 µm, black, 25 m × 6 mm, for powder-coated parts and plastics
Description
TESA ACXplus 7063 High Adhesion is a black, double-sided acrylic foam tape, 800 µm thick, sized 25 m × 6 mm. It combines very high initial tack with resistance to weathering and plasticiser migration, making it ideal for hard-to-bond substrates (e.g., powder-coated parts and plastics). The viscoelastic acrylic foam core dissipates stress and compensates for differential thermal expansion between substrates.
Benefits and unique features
- Very high adhesion – reliable bonds from first contact
- Excellent stress dissipation via the acrylic foam core
- Robust weather and temperature resistance (70 °C long-term / 170 °C short-term)
- Very good resistance to plasticiser migration
- Engineered for hard-to-bond surfaces: powder-coated components and plastics
- High process safety, including metal/metal and metal/plastic assemblies
Properties and applications
- Bonding powder-coated parts: trims, panels, covers and decorative elements.
- Plastics: reliable bonding of ABS, PP and other plastics (application testing advised).
- Automotive/Home appliances/HVAC: protective bumpers, air distributors, functional panels.
- Metal/metal or metal/plastic joints: durable bonds with thermal movement compensation.

Storage recommendations
Store in the original packaging in a clean, dry place, away from UV and heat sources. Clean and degrease the substrate before application. On low-surface-energy materials (e.g., PP), run an adhesion test and adjust surface preparation as needed.
FAQ
1) What is the tape thickness?
800 µm (acrylic foam core).
2) Which substrates is it designed for?
Hard-to-bond surfaces such as powder-coated parts and many plastics; also suitable for metal/metal joints.
3) What temperature limits does it handle?
Approx. 70 °C long-term and 170 °C short-term.
4) How strong is the adhesion to steel?
About 24 N/cm initially, up to 40 N/cm after 14 days.
5) Which liners are available?
PV22 (white PE-coated paper) and PV24 (blue film).
