TESA ACXplus 7063 High Adhesion, double-sided acrylic foam tape 800 µm, black, 25 m × 12 mm, for powder-coated parts and plastics
Description
TESA ACXplus 7063 High Adhesion is a black, double-sided acrylic foam tape, 800 µm thick, sized 25 m × 12 mm. It combines very high initial tack with resistance to weathering and plasticiser migration, making it ideal for hard-to-bond substrates such as powder-coated parts and plastics. The viscoelastic acrylic foam core dissipates stress and compensates for differential thermal expansion between bonded materials.
Benefits and unique features
- Very high adhesion – strong bonds from first contact
- Stress dissipation via the acrylic foam core
- Temperature resistance: 70 °C (long-term) / 170 °C (short-term)
- Very good resistance to plasticiser migration
- Engineered for hard-to-bond surfaces: powder-coated components, various plastics
- High process reliability for metal/metal and metal/plastic joints
Properties and applications
- Bonding powder-coated parts: trims, panels, covers, decorative elements.
- Plastics bonding: reliable adhesion to ABS and PP (application testing recommended).
- Automotive / Home appliances / HVAC: protective bumpers, air distributors, functional panels.
- Metal–metal / metal–plastic bonds: durable joints with thermal-movement compensation.

Storage recommendations
Store in the original packaging in a clean, dry place, away from UV and heat sources. Clean and degrease the substrate before application. For low-surface-energy materials (e.g., PP), run an adhesion test and adjust surface preparation accordingly.
