TESA ACXplus 7076 High Resistance, double-sided acrylic foam tape 1500 µm, black, 18 m × 40 mm, outdoor-grade, temperature- and chemical-resistant
Description
TESA ACXplus 7076 High Resistance is a black, double-sided acrylic foam tape with a 1500 µm thickness in an 18 m × 40 mm size. Its high-performance acrylic system combines very good temperature and shear resistance with exceptional thermal-shock resistance down to −40 °C. The viscoelastic core dissipates stress and compensates differential thermal expansion, enabling stable, long-lasting bonds even outdoors.
Benefits and unique features
- Temperature resistance: 120 °C long-term, 220 °C short-term
- Exceptional thermal-shock resistance (down to −40 °C)
- High resistance to UV, chemicals, salt water and cleaning agents
- Viscoelastic core — stress dissipation and expansion compensation
- Deep-black carrier — neat, unobtrusive bonds
Properties and applications
- Outdoor use: door panels, wall housings, decorative elements
- Stiffening profiles: durable bonding and vibration damping
- Environmental exposure: operation in extreme temperatures, UV and chemicals
- Application tip: on demanding substrates, use an appropriate tesa Adhesion Promoter to boost adhesion

Storage recommendations
Store in a clean, dry and cool place away from UV and heat sources, in the original packaging. Clean and degrease substrates before application; on demanding materials use a suitable tesa Adhesion Promoter and run a bond test.
FAQ
1) What is the tape thickness?
1500 µm (1.5 mm) acrylic foam.
2) Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes — engineered for durable outdoor applications with UV and chemical exposure.
3) What adhesion levels?
To steel: ~18 N/cm initially, ~33 N/cm after 3 days and ~34 N/cm after 14 days; to ABS 6→7 N/cm; to PP 2→2 N/cm.
4) What are the temperature limits?
120 °C long-term and 220 °C short-term; thermal-shock resistance down to −40 °C.
5) Should I use an adhesion promoter?
Yes — the right tesa Adhesion Promoter significantly improves and stabilises adhesion on demanding substrates.
