Opis produktu
URETHAN 71 is a one-component, air-drying conformal coating based on alkyd-polyurethane resin. The 200 ml aerosol is intended for applying a protective coating to printed circuit boards and other electrical and electronic components.
The coating is transparent and has excellent insulating properties. Chemical crosslinking reactions take place after drying, allowing coatings based on URETHAN 71 to be used in humid or aggressive environments as well.
APPLICATION
- Long-term protection of printed circuit boards and coils in electric motors.
- Sealing against moisture in corrosive atmospheres on all types of metals.
- For armature coils, housings, cables and wiring, connectors, control systems, electronic components, solenoid valves, machine tools, and transformer terminals and housings.
- It can also be used as a decorative, transparent protective coating for everyday metal objects. Its slight yellow tint enhances the appearance of non-ferrous metal surfaces.
BENEFITS
- Excellent insulating properties.
- Coating adhesion over a temperature range of -40°C to +120°C.
- Can be used in humid or aggressive environments after crosslinking reactions have taken place.
- Transparent finish and good adhesion to many materials.

SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface to be coated must be dry and degreased.
INSTRUCTIONS
For small batches and service applications, spray the product from a distance of 20–30 cm.
At ambient temperature, practically all solvents evaporate after 120 minutes. At this stage, the coating is sufficiently dry to allow subsequent components to be handled for assembly. Chemical crosslinking reactions take several days under ambient conditions. 90% crosslinking can be achieved after 24 hours at 60°C.
STORAGE
The product must be properly sealed during storage.
LIMITATIONS AND SAFETY
The flash point of the aerosol is <0°C.
