WEICON Anti-Seize High-Tech 1 kg – metal-free assembly paste

WEICON Anti-Seize High-Tech is a white metal-free assembly paste designed to protect highly loaded connections against corrosion, seizing and so-called cold welding. Its separating properties facilitate the subsequent dismantling of threaded and fitted connections, including components exposed to high temperatures.

Applications of WEICON Anti-Seize High-Tech

The product is particularly useful where metal-containing pastes could cause undesirable electrolytic reactions. It can be used, among other applications, during the assembly of screws, nuts, fitted connections and components made from high-alloy and stainless steels.

Before application, clean and degrease the surfaces. Apply a thin layer of paste over the entire mating surface. For screws, the manufacturer recommends coating the thread root and the underside of the screw head.

Technical data

Storage

Store tightly closed in the original packaging and protect from direct sunlight. Storage temperature must not exceed +50°C. Keep the container in a cool, well-ventilated and dry place. The minimum storage period at room temperature is 24 months.

Safety

The product causes skin irritation and serious eye damage. Appropriate protective gloves and eye or face protection should be worn during use, and the current safety data sheet should be followed.

When Anti-Seize is used on chromium-nickel steel at temperatures above 400°C, chromium(VI) may form. Such use requires an appropriate risk assessment and compliance with the manufacturer's safety recommendations.

Does WEICON Anti-Seize High-Tech contain metals?

No. It is a metal-free assembly paste intended especially for applications where products containing metallic fillers could cause undesirable electrolytic reactions.

What is the temperature range of the 1 kg variant?

For the supplied 1 kg variant, the temperature range stated on the physical product label is used: -40°C to +1400°C.

Is the paste suitable for stainless steel?

Yes. WEICON identifies Anti-Seize High-Tech as particularly suitable for high-alloy steels, including stainless steel. For chromium-nickel steel components above 400°C, however, the manufacturer's warning regarding possible formation of chromium(VI) must be taken into account.

Can the product be used in the food industry?

The product is NSF H1 registered for lubricants used in locations where incidental food contact may occur. This does not mean that the product is intended for direct food contact.

Does Anti-Seize High-Tech replace conventional grease?

No. The manufacturer states that the assembly paste must not be mixed with grease or oil and does not replace oil or grease lubrication where such lubrication is required.

How should screws be prepared before application?
