Product description
WEICON Pool Repair-Kit 200 g – epoxy repair kit for underwater pool repairs
WEICON Pool Repair-Kit is a two-component mineral-filled epoxy resin repair system developed especially for quick repairs on wet surfaces and underwater. The paste-like compound provides very good adhesion, making it suitable for situations where drying the repair area is difficult or impossible.
The product is particularly suitable for repairing pool surfaces such as tiles and mosaics. After thoroughly mixing the resin and hardener, a white compound is obtained which can be worked into the prepared substrate and applied to the required thickness.
Applications of WEICON Pool Repair-Kit
The kit is intended primarily for repairing surfaces that come into contact with water. It can be used to fill and repair damage to tiles and mosaics, including work carried out underwater. Its very good adhesion allows application to wet surfaces.

Storage
Store the system in a dry place at room temperature. The manufacturer recommends storing unopened containers at temperatures from +18°C to +28°C. The minimum shelf life is 36 months. Opened containers should be used within 6 months.
Surface preparation
The repair area should be free from dirt, dust, rust, oxides, paint and other residues. Deposits, algae and contamination can significantly reduce adhesion. Smooth or heavily contaminated substrates should be mechanically prepared by sanding or brushing if necessary, followed by thorough dust removal.
Mixing and application
First mix the resin thoroughly. Then mix the resin and hardener for at least four minutes at a material temperature of approximately 20°C until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The specified mixing ratio of both components must be observed precisely.
For application, the manufacturer recommends first working a thin layer of the product intensively into the substrate with a spatula using crosswise movements. This allows the compound to penetrate surface irregularities and cracks. A further amount can then be applied immediately to achieve the required thickness.
Safety
The resin and hardener are mixtures classified as hazardous. The hardener may cause severe skin burns and eye damage as well as an allergic skin reaction. Before starting work, read the current safety data sheets for both components and use the required personal protective equipment.
FAQ
Can WEICON Pool Repair-Kit be applied without draining the pool?
Yes. The product was developed for repairs that can also be carried out underwater and provides very good adhesion to wet surfaces.
What types of pool repairs is this kit suitable for?
The manufacturer particularly specifies repairs to tiles and mosaics. The product can be used for quick filling of local damage on properly prepared surfaces.
How long can the mixed product be worked with?
The current TDS specifies a working time of approximately 30 minutes for a 500 g batch at a material temperature of 20°C. Higher temperatures or larger quantities of mixed material accelerate the reaction and reduce the working time.
How long does the compound take to reach final strength?
At 20°C, final strength is reached after approximately 36 hours. Lower temperatures extend the curing process.
What is the maximum layer thickness in one application?
The maximum layer thickness specified by the manufacturer is 10 mm in a single application.
Is the product resistant to chlorinated pool water?
The current manufacturer TDS indicates no resistance to chlorinated water at typical swimming-pool concentrations. Compatibility with the medium and actual operating conditions should therefore be checked before use.
