Description
WIKO PTFE Spray 400 ml for lubrication and friction reduction from -190°C to +260°C
WIKO PTFE Spray 400 ml is a colourless lubricating, sliding and release agent designed for components made of metal, rubber, plastics and other materials. The PTFE-containing product helps reduce friction and supports the smooth operation of parts exposed to sliding, rotation, seizing or jamming.
The broad operating temperature range from -190°C to +260°C makes the spray suitable for demanding industrial and workshop applications. WIKO PTFE Spray is particularly useful where colourless lubrication is required and dark MoS2-containing products could stain the treated components.
Applications of WIKO PTFE Spray
The product can be used for lubricating, improving sliding properties and reducing adhesion on components such as:
- slide rails and guides,
- roller rails and transport rollers,
- conveyor belts and conveyor components,
- gears and sliding mechanisms,
- chains and hinges,
- threads and cutting tools,
- cylinder locks and door mechanisms,
- pedals and window mechanisms,
- components made of metal, rubber and plastics.
WIKO PTFE Spray can be used in industrial maintenance, machine servicing, workshops, plastics processing as well as the paper and textile industries.
Key advantages of WIKO PTFE Spray
- operating temperature range from -190°C to +260°C,
- colourless formula suitable where visible staining is undesirable,
- lubricating, sliding and anti-adhesive action,
- good penetration properties,
- long-lasting self-lubricating effect,
- helps reduce premature wear and abrasion,
- helps prevent seizing, jamming and sticking,
- helps eliminate squeaking and creaking caused by friction,
- suitable for metal, rubber and plastics.
When to choose WIKO PTFE Spray
The product is a suitable choice when friction between moving components must be reduced, guides and mechanisms need to operate more smoothly or moving parts are prone to jamming and squeaking. The aerosol form makes it easier to apply the lubricant to difficult-to-reach areas and components with complex shapes.
The colourless lubricating layer is useful where dark MoS2-containing products or conventional lubricants could leave visible marks. When treating sensitive plastics or rubber, test compatibility on a small area before full application.
Directions for use
- Clean the lubrication point and remove dirt and residues of previously used products.
- Shake the aerosol can vigorously for approximately 2 minutes.
- Perform a short spray test.
- Apply the product evenly in crosswise passes from a distance of approximately 20–30 cm.
- After operating the mechanism, check whether the required lubricating effect has been achieved.
- Repeat the application if necessary.
The range from -190°C to +260°C refers to the operating temperature of the lubricant. It does not mean that the aerosol may be sprayed onto hot components. Due to its extreme flammability, the product must not be used near hot surfaces, sparks, flames or other ignition sources.

Storage and safety
Store upright in the original container in a dry and well-ventilated place. Protect from direct sunlight and do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and oxidising agents.
Warning: extremely flammable aerosol. Pressurised container may burst if heated. The product may cause skin irritation and drowsiness or dizziness. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Avoid breathing the aerosol and prevent release into the environment. Read the product label and current Safety Data Sheet before use.
FAQ
What is WIKO PTFE Spray used for?
The product is used for lubrication, improving sliding properties and reducing adhesion between moving components. It helps reduce friction, abrasion, seizing, jamming, squeaking and creaking.
Can WIKO PTFE Spray be used on plastics and rubber?
Yes. The manufacturer lists metal, rubber and plastics as suitable materials. Due to the wide variety of polymers and elastomers, test compatibility on a small area before full application.
Is the product suitable for guides and conveyor rollers?
Yes. Recommended applications include slide rails, guides, roller rails, transport rollers, conveyors and other mechanisms requiring reduced friction.
Is -190°C to +260°C the application temperature?
No. This is the operating temperature range of the lubricant. Do not spray the aerosol onto hot surfaces or near flames, sparks and other ignition sources.
How should WIKO PTFE Spray be applied?
Shake the can vigorously for approximately 2 minutes, perform a spray test and apply the product in crosswise passes from a distance of approximately 20–30 cm onto the previously cleaned lubrication point.
