One complete DuoXpand T fixing
This single-unit version is intended for users who need one fixing point instead of a full pack of 50. It is not the plastic plug alone – the matching screw is also included.
The screw is made of electro-galvanized steel. The T version features a countersunk head and TX40 drive.
Countersunk head – particularly suitable for timber components
The T version uses a countersunk-head screw that can sit flush with the surface of the mounted component. This design is particularly suitable for fastening timber to concrete or masonry.
DuoXpand 10 x 230 T is therefore well suited to timber substructures, beams, frames and other applications where a projecting screw head is not desirable.
230 mm version – maximum fixture thickness up to 180 mm
DuoXpand 10 x 230 T offers several installation configurations. At a nominal anchorage depth of 50 mm, the maximum fixture thickness is 180 mm. At 70 mm it is 160 mm, at 140 mm it is 90 mm, and at 160 mm it is 70 mm.
This allows the anchorage depth to be selected according to both the fixture thickness and the substrate.
Two-component DuoXpand design
The fixing combines two components. The grey nylon body provides mechanical strength, while the more flexible red component supports controlled expansion in the substrate. The special lamella geometry adapts the fixing behaviour to different building materials.
Longitudinal ribs help prevent the plug from rotating in the drill hole while the screw is tightened.
Applications
DuoXpand can be used for fastening timber and metal substructures, windows, doors, gates, beams, cladding, cabinets, brackets and cable trays within the scope defined by the system's technical documentation.
