Fischer DuoXpand 10 x 230 T – long frame fixing with TX40 countersunk screw
Fischer DuoXpand 10 x 230 T is a two-component frame fixing designed for through installation in concrete, masonry and other substrates covered by the system documentation. At 230 mm, this is the longest DuoXpand T version with a 10 mm diameter and is suitable for fastening particularly thick components while maintaining the required anchorage depth.
Each fixing is factory-fitted with a matching electro-galvanized steel screw featuring a countersunk head and TX40 drive. The pack contains 50 complete fixings.
T version – countersunk head for timber fastening
The T version differs from the FUS version by the screw head design. It uses a countersunk head that can sit flush with the surface of the mounted component. This version is particularly suitable for fixing timber components to concrete and masonry.
DuoXpand 10 x 230 T is therefore well suited to timber substructures, beams, frame components and other applications where a projecting hexagonal screw head is not desirable.
Four installation configurations for the 230 mm version
The fixing can be installed at several anchorage depths. At a 50 mm anchorage depth, the maximum fixture thickness is 180 mm. At 70 mm it is 160 mm, at 140 mm it is 90 mm, and at 160 mm it is 70 mm.
This wide range allows the 230 mm version to be used both with thick fixtures and in applications requiring deeper anchorage in the substrate.
Two-component DuoXpand design
The grey body made from high-quality nylon provides mechanical strength, while the more flexible red component supports controlled expansion of the fixing. The special lamella geometry adapts the fixing behaviour to different building materials.
In solid materials, the load is distributed evenly into the substrate. In hollow masonry, the fixing creates a stable form-locking connection while limiting excessive stress on the internal webs of the building material.
Applications
DuoXpand 10 x 230 T can be used for fastening timber and metal façade, ceiling and roof substructures, windows, gates, doors, beams, cabinets, wall-mounted cupboards, wall cladding, brackets and cable trays.
The European Technical Assessment covers defined applications in concrete, solid and perforated masonry, calcium silicate units, lightweight concrete and aerated concrete. The system can also be used in other substrates specified in the manufacturer's technical documentation.
Through installation
DuoXpand 10 x 230 T requires a 10 mm drill hole. The minimum drill hole depth for through installation is 240 mm. The screw is driven using a TX40 bit.

Selecting the anchorage depth
The maximum fixture thickness depends on the selected anchorage depth. For the 230 mm version, the available configurations are 50/180 mm, 70/160 mm, 140/90 mm and 160/70 mm. Load capacity must be selected according to the substrate, fixing geometry, spacing and edge distances in accordance with ETA-21/0324.
